We have been closely monitoring Hurricane Irma, and as many of you probably already suspect NetSource’s office in Ocala, FL will be closed at least Monday. It is likely that we will lose power here in our office. This means that we will be unable to send or receive email or phone calls from the office.
For Technical Support
In order to serve customers with Technical Support issues, [email protected] will deliver to a mailbox on one of our storm hardened servers in Orlando. We will monitor this mailbox as frequently as possible and respond to customer requests as soon as we can. Obviously if something is broken that requires a drive, our response may be delayed by high winds or road debris, but we will respond as soon as it is safe to do so.
Websites & Email Should Be Unaffected
All of the servers hosting our customer’s DNS, websites, FTP, Email, etc. are in storm hardened and secure data centers with large banks of batteries as well as generators and a guaranteed fuel supply. This means we do not expect the storm to impact those servers. It is possible that one or more Internet links to the data centers will go down, but they have many redundancies built in, which should ensure that our servers and our customers’ websites will be reachable throughout the storm and following the storm.
